The names behind the numbers
This work is led by Athanassios Protopapas, ILSP Principal Researcher. He wrote the processing code and produced the tables of measures available for downloading. If you have any comments or questions about this web site, write to him at protopap[at]ilsp.gr.
The syllabification algorithm utilizes a cluster list provided by Marina Tzakosta, a phonologist, Lecturer of Language Development at the Department of Preschool Education of the University of Crete at Rethimno.
The grapheme-to-phoneme tool was created by the ILSP text-to-speech group: Spyros Raptis, Aimilios Chalamandaris, Pirros Tsiakoulis, and Sotiris Karabetsos.
The online tools were implemented as aspx pages by Pirros Tsiakoulis, an ILSP researcher & developer. The web page was designed and constructed by Aimilios Chalamandaris, ILSP researcher.
